2018 CHAPLAINCY ANNUAL LECTURE

“PHYSICS & FAITH: Are God and Science engaged in a phoney war?”

The Rev Dr Alistair Donald (University Chaplain) invites you to our Annual Lecture, with refreshments beforehand. This year's lecture will be given by Professor Tom McLeish, Professor of Physics at the University of Durham.

Tom McLeish’s research interests are on the properties of soft matter – including liquids, foams and biological materials. He also has an interest in the history of science, has spoken widely on the relation between science and faith, and is the author of Faith and Wisdom in Science (OUP, 2016) and co-author of Let there be Science (2017).

Additional Information:

Tea, Coffee & biscuits available from 6 pm onwards. Lecture starts at 7 pm.
