The 2019 Archaeology Conference 'Discovering Anglian York: Digging in the Dark' is sponsored by York Archaeological Forum, advisor to City of York Council on archaeology and the historic environment.

This year’s conference will focus on Eoforwic, Anglian York. The talks will provide an overview of current knowledge and recent discoveries, and will discuss issues of visibility, where should we be looking and why have we so much yet to find?

Speakers include Dr Ailsa Mainman, Dr Mary Garrison, Ian Milsted, Dr Andrew Woods, Professor Julian Richards, John Oxley and Professor Richard Morris.

There will also be a range of stalls, books for sale and a display of related artefacts.

The conference will take place on Saturday 16 November, 10.00am till 5.00pm, in the George Hudson Room at West Offices York YO1 6GA.
