ASO Midlands Network

The ASO Midlands Network and the East Midlands Bariatric & Metabolic Institute (EMBMI) aim to promote interaction and opportunities for shared learning among all those with an interest in preventing obesity and its health and social consequences. Our vision is to bring together those working in the health, local authority and academic sectors across the region to share and discuss obesity research and practice.

The ASO Midlands Network holds meetings on at least an annual basis. Attendance at these meeting is open to anyone with an interest in obesity, and may be of particular interest to those working in health services, local authority, public health, commissioners of obesity services, and academics.

The ASO Midlands Network committee includes:
