Description

Each year, teachers are allocated 5 protected days each year which are dedicated to continued professional development. As independent private tutors, we take our continued professional development just as seriously, and the Independent Private Tutors Conference aims to provide an accessible way to access a full day of training without interferring with your tutoring and home committments.

As the entire conference is online, we have been able to draw experienced speakers and trainers from all over the world to present training that tutors can build up as a unique package to suit them.

Join us to expand your own CPD in a motivating day of learning and development. Whether you are looking to build your confidence as a tutor, learn new skills, dip a toe into the world of online tutoring, or simply make new connections with other professional tutors, there's a workshop designed for you.

10.15am Opening Keynote - Darren Yap, Wimble Wellness : Practical Mindfulness to Reduce Stress



10.45am: Workshop Session 1 - Safeguarding for Private Tutors

11.45am: Workshop Session 2 - Marketing Strategies for Tutors

12.45pm: Lunch & Open Networking - Additional time to network in smaller groups whilst we fuel up!

1.15pm: Workshop Session 3 - Book keeping & allowable expenses

2.15pm: Workshop Session 4 - Online Tuition, Tips & Tricks for using Zoom - Holly Billinghurst, TeachAllAboutIT

3.15pm: Workshop Session 5 - GDPR Training with Q&A

4.15pm: Workshop Session 6 - Dealing with parental complaints and difficult students (conflict management)

5.15pm: Closing Keynote - Susan Telford, International Life Coach, and author of "In Search of Balance"



FAQs

Do I need any specialist software to attend?

NO. The conference is entirely based in Zoom and can be attended through your browser, or the free Zoom app.



Can I book & pay via Invoice?

YES. Please contact holly@TeachAllAboutIT.uk with details of the tickets you wish to book directly. An invoice will be sent and tickets reserved upon receipt of payment.



Do I have to attend for the whole day?

The reason for hosting the conference online is to give you the flexibility to opt into the hours that you can attend around your normal day. Attendees book tickets for the individual workshops that they wish to attend as separate tickets, allowing you to build a training program that suits you.



How fast does my internet have to be?

It's certainly worth making sure that you have a stable internet connection of 10Mbps or more. You can boost this by switching off your camera during the conference.



Do I need a webcam & microphone?

A microphone is a must, but whilst webcams are nice to have and help you to feel more involved, they are optional.
