Module 5 of Lib4RI’s introductory course «Searching & Managing Scientific Information» for PhD students and other affiliates of Eawag, Empa, PSI and WSL
AIMS
You are given confidence in using LaTeX for your publications, and learn how to cite properly using BibTeX. Please note: this course is for LaTeX beginners.
CONTENT
- A not so short summary of LaTeX basics
- Tables, figures and formulae
- The LaTeX error log and common errors to avoid
- BibTeX and citation styles
ORGANISATION
- Presentations with examples/exercises
- Course language is English
- No course fee
- Required: Please bring your laptop with working LaTeX and BibTeX installations.
Brief instructions for example installations will be available on our website at www.lib4ri.ch/services/trainings.html ca 1 week prior to the session. Please contact us before the course should you require assistance with your installation.
