New horizons - exploration and discovery into new areas and alternative practices that has led to changes in the way our staff teach and inspire students; a focus on evolution through experience.

The School of Art, Design and Fashion is home to a creative teaching community. From construction to illustration, fashion to graphic design our academic community has extensive knowledge and experience of working in and with industry. Alongside this many of our colleagues spend time outside the University undertaking various roles and experiences to help both shape industry and the curriculum.

Join us as we explore how our academic community transfer their experience and learnings from outside the University to help prepare students in building successful working lives. The evening will explore some of the emerging trends across the various industries with a Q&A discussion then looking at what our academic community sees as the biggest challenges and opportunities.

Our guest speakers for the evening will cover a diverse range of topic areas including:

Jonny Hannah, Senior Lecturer in Illustration – Jonny will explore the diversity of modern illustration as a career choice & what it has to offer through his own practice & experiences.
