Event Details

A Vision Board is an important life skill for children to learn. Join us for loads of fun at the KIDS EDITION Vision Board PARTY on Saturday 20th February from 2:00pm. Doors open at 1:45pm.

What is your child passionate about? What are your child’s hopes and dreams? The choosing of various words and images will make the children plow through their imaginative brains, make them visualise and laser focus what they want to attain in life and the person they want to become.

This is our 2nd time hosting a Kids Edition Vision Board workshop and we aim to have one every year because of the amazing feedback we get from those who attend (kids and parents). It’s something to do as a half term activity but also a great investment for your children. We just finalised our 4th adults one and it's amazing to have people come back and say... thanks to the Golden Mothers workshop, it motivated me, pushed me, encouraged me, kept me focused towards my goals and so much more! We want the same for your child(ren).

We always want to make it a relaxing, fun atmosphere for you with food (because food makes everything better), music, treats and prizes.

2019 early bird tickets start from £9.00 which includes Light refreshments, snacks, everything else (materials, magazines, pictures, arts & craft, goodie bags, treats etc) will be provided.

Please let us know your dietary requirement in advance via email: goldenmotheruk@gmail.com

FAQ:

What is a Vision Board?
- A Vision Board is a collection/collage of the images/words that best describes your goals/dreams/visions. It serves as a great visual reminder of what you truly want and to motivate you to take actions towards your goals/dreams/visions. Vision boards are fun to make and can be quite artistic/creative.

A vision board is a great tool for teaching children about goal setting. Goal setting is an important tool that is never too early to start developing. Through this process your child becomes an active participant in the creation of their future while getting excited about having goals, communicating them, and making them real. Your child’s vision board can also help you (as their parent or guardian) understand what they truly want, and who they are. The process of creating a vision board is life affirming, life changing, empowering, and FUN!

What is the age for the Vision Board Workshop?
We recommend children from 5-12 but if you feel that your child(ren) can benefit from this event, you are welcome to bring them along. We had children as young as 3 and they had a great time.

What will the kids be doing?
-For the children, we will encourage them to think beyond their favourite toys/games and material possessions. I
t will be separated into 4 sections letting them think about what they plan to do, be, go and most importantly what they love to do. It will definitely be a classroom setting. Too much fun and they will leave with their very own vision board as well as lots of treats.

I’m not a mum but I have nieces, nephews/god children, can I bring them?
- Of course! All children are welcomed as long as they’re supervised.

Can I leave my child(ren)/nice(s)/nephew(s)/god child(ren) with you and come back?
- For health and safety reasons, all parents/guardian will need to remain in the workshop room.

What do I need to bring?
Yourself and your kids of course. A questionnaire will be sent to yourself to fill in with the attendees so their materials can be catered to them. Early Bird tickets start from £10.00 which includes Refreshments, Snacks, Treats, Goodie Bags, everything else (materials, magazine, pictures, arts & craft, drinks etc) will be provided.

Can I make more than one?
- Of course! In the past, people have gone home with multiple Vision Boards. It is whatever your creative bubble decides to make.

Will my kids be left hungry?
- Never! Always loads of food, drinks, sweets and snacks for left overs. Please send in any dietary requirements by Friday 14th Feb to goldenmothersuk@gmail.com .

Why do parents/guardiand have to pay?
- This is purely an entry fee. We don't expect you to sit there dying of thirst and hunger so the £1.50 is an extremely small contribution to cover the treats.

How do I get there?
- The venue is minutes from the V&A Museum of Childhood Victoria and Albert Museum. We would advise to take the train. Closest station is Bethnal Green Station on the central line. There is parking available around the area but it is quite limited.

Is there parking?
- Yes, there is limited parking around the area. If you choose to drive please yourself enough time to find parking.

What else?
Some words of C.S Lewis:

"You are never too old and it's never too late to set another goal and dream a new dream."

Lastly...

See you on Saturday 22th February at 2pm!

With Love,
