2021 Burns Scotland Lecture - Live Q&A
Event Information
About this event
With the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, the Centre for Robert Burns Studies and the NTS Robert Burns Birthplace Museum are unable to host our annual sell-out Burns conference in January 2021. However, we have teamed up to bring you one of our popular annual fixtures online, the Burns Scotland Lecture.
The lecture, available to view at this link, is delivered by Dr David Hopes (Head of Collections and Interiors, National Trust for Scotland) and entitled ‘Birth of a Museum: The Burns Monument Trust and the formation of Scotland’s first literary museum (1814-1900)’
This complimentary event gives you the chance to join in a live Question & Answer session with David, joined by Chris Waddell (Learning Manager, NTS Robert Burns Birthplace Museum) and Dr Pauline Mackay (Lecturer in Robert Burns Studies, Centre for Robert Burns Studies, University of Glasgow)
The Q&A will be hosted on Zoom and details on joining the session will be emailed to all who reserve a ticket on the morning of Sunday 24th January.
