About this event

CARE (which stands for Connected, Authentic, Resilient and Empowered) is a learning, development programme, leadership and resilience programme which was offered to our General Practice nurses (GPN’s) in 2021. We have evaluated the programme and we aim to share the outcomes of this at the bitesize session. The programme has evaluated so well in terms of nurses professional and personal development that we want to re-run the programme in 2022 by expanding it to other GPN’s and wider primary care staff.

The CARE programme supports emerging multidisciplinary leaders. The initial focus was to help general practice nurses (GPN’s) to step up and into Primary Care Network leadership roles. Working with the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC), the CARE programme takes a really practical and system lead approach to supporting and developing leadership within Primary Care. Further to this, the long term aim is to drive better multidisciplinary distributed leadership across Primary Care.

The 2022 programme will be open to wider primary care and include staff working in dental, pharmacy and optometry
