This study morning will commence at 9.20am and conclude with lunch at 1pm.

Purpose

To gather Licensed Lay Ministers (LLMs) together from across the diocese to think about the primacy of worship, inspiring us with a deeper passion to worship God and new insight and skills and to draw on the rich resources in the room to help us plan worship in our local contexts.

Learning outcomes

To be inspired with a deeper vision of God and a deeper conviction of the priority of worship
To learn from one another’s approaches to worship across the traditions of our diocese, with their emphases on Word, Sacrament and Spirit
To experience some beautifully curated worship, both Word and Sacrament which models what we are teaching
To learn from some research on changing patterns of attendance at worship post-pandemic, and discuss how we may need to review our provision of worship in person and online in a changing culture

Keynote Speaker

Canon Dr Michael Leyden, Dean of Emmanuel Theological College, will be the keynote speaker at all five study mornings.
