Hedgelaying Competition starts.

Public access is from 9am when the each competing hedgelayer will start laying in their chosen style and continue for 5 hours until 2pm. Visitors can observe from behind a safety rope. Officials a...

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Judging and determination of awards

Judges assess each competitors work for the style they have entered. Results for each style and a Supreme Champion are compiled

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Raffle Draw

There is a draw for a variety of raffle prizes, including many donated by exhibitors onsite. Winners are given the option of any prize from the display table until all the prizes run out.

3:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Award Ceremony and Prize Giving

Announcement and presentation of awards for the best competitors in each style and for special categories. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion are announced.

The National Hedgelaying Championshipis the highlight of the year for the National Hedgelaying Society. There are 10 regional styles represented and you can see the techniques and tools used at all stages up to the end result - a beautifully laid haedge.
