Wellbeing Collage Art Workshop with Laurisse from Mind Fully.
Work on your own themed compositions using the magazines, paper, stickers and washi tape provided. Switch off from the day-to-day and leave the session with a handful of brilliant collages!
You will begin the session with a guided collage weaving exercise. This is completely invitational, it offers the opportunity to ‘get started’ in a guided way as sometimes we do have the feeling of “where do I begin?”. You can then either use this base to keep creating and collage onto the weave pattern or start a new collage entirely. The choice is yours. Alternatively you can begin on your own unguided collage from the beginning.
The idea of this workshop is to spend some mindful moments getting lost in the world of creating. Either come alone or grab your friends for some yapping and creating.
A message from Laurisse:
I have used art throughout my life as a way to help with my mental health. I find the hours spent creating takes my mind to a completely different place than the day to day. Now, as a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist I know the very real need of taking care of our own mental health.

No prior experience is needed and all abilities are welcome!

The price of this workshop will go towards paying for the space and materials. The workshop is helped by one or more of our volunteers so please always be kind, and respectful as they are giving their time. Be understanding that this is also part of their journey for their own mental health and well-being.
