About this event

Volunteer with In2research: building inclusive pathways to research careers

Attend one of our volunteer information sessions to find out how you can help others get In2research.

In2research is a one-year programme developed by In2scienceUK and UCL, designed to enhance access to postgraduate research degrees and career opportunities for people from low socio-economic backgrounds and under-represented groups.

The programme of workshops, mentoring, professional development away days and an eight-week research placement supports participants interested in a range of subjects in STEM. Providing valuable research experience and demystifying the PhD application process for individuals from diverse backgrounds, building research pipelines which are accessible to all.

With the help of volunteers like you, we are working to widen participation and creating a brighter future for research, together.

In2scienceUK is a charity that empowers young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential and pursue degrees, apprenticeships and careers in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

By leveraging the passion and expertise of STEM professionals and researchers, In2scienceUK gives A-Level students an opportunity to gain insight into the STEM sector as well as the knowledge and confidence to progress to university. In addition to running an award-winning summer programme which transitioned to a virtual format in 2020 in response to Covid-19, they run events and workshops throughout the year to provide ongoing support to In2scienceUK students and alumni.
