2026 : 11+ Exam Technique and Mock Test Sessions

THE CONTENT OF ALL OUR SESSIONS IS DIFFERENT

Introduction to 11+ Test Papers - March

Your child will be introduced to multiple choice answer sheets similar to those used in the 11+ exam and be given some experience of timed sections.

We will be using GL type questions designed for children aged 9 - 10. All work will be marked by your child and sent home.

11+ Mock Tests (with no audio) - April/May

Your child will be given their first experience of a full GL type test. We will not be using an audio for these tests so there is an opportunity for some teacher input at the start of each section.

Your child will complete two 45 minute papers with a break in between.

Test papers will be marked and ready for collection before the end of the day. Our feedback will give your child’s score in each element of the test papers, a total score for each test and a combined score for the two tests. Next to your child’s scores, we also provide the group average score to help you identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses, relative to the other candidates.

11+ Mock Tests (with audio instructions) - June/July/August

Your child will be given the experience of a full GL test in exam conditions with audio instructions, the papers have been written and are administered by two experienced 11+ tutors. Your child will complete two 45 minute papers with a break in between.

Test papers will be marked and ready for collection before the end of the day. Our feedback will give your child’s score in each element of the test papers, a total score for each test and a combined score for the two tests. Next to your child’s scores, we also provide the group average score to help you identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses, relative to the other candidates.

11+ Test Practice Sessions - August/September

We are running test practice sessions to give your child more intense practice answering questions on the different topics. The content of the 5 sessions will be different. Your child will spend time practising timed sections, working on exam technique and gaining confidence with different types of questions. Work completed in the session will be marked, discussed and sent home so you can see how your child performed.
