From honey-stone villages to wild ridgelines and sweeping views over the Severn Valley, the Cotswold Way captures the spirit of rural England. In just four days, you’ll journey 100 miles through history and nature — testing your body, quieting your mind, and rediscovering what it means to be truly alive outdoors.
You'll need resilience in bucket loads and stamina to keep going on this multi-day challenge. Camping in the great outdoors each evening (Campsites with hot showers and amenities. UPGRADE available to hostel room/Shepards hut)

For those who want to soak up the views, enjoy the camaraderie, and experience the trek without carrying kit and equipment.
Your main baggage is transferred by our team, leaving you to carry just your day essentials — food, water, and clothing.
Perfect for first-time trekkers or those who want to focus on the journey, not the load. Fully supported by the Endurotrek crew throughout.
🟠 ENDEAVOUR – Test your limits
For those ready to take on a moderate challenge and embrace a degree of self-sufficiency.
Participants carry a minimum of 10kg, plus food and water, managing more of their own kit while still benefiting from logistical support and check points.
Ideal for adventurous spirits looking to push themselves — with Endurotrek’s full support team by your side from start to finish.
🔴 ENDURE – The ultimate test
For those who crave the full expedition experience — physical, mental, and emotional.
Participants carry a minimum of 15kg, plus food and water, taking on the trek in full self-sufficient style.
This is endurance trekking at its purest — every step earned, every mile carried, with Endurotrek support always close if needed.
Is it a race?
The Coswold way event, is a challenge. There is no official winner, the completion of the challenge in itself is the win! However it is a timed event and your daily and combined finish time can make the leaderboard
Do I have to carry my equipment/backpack?
Kit carrying is optional. Alternatively you can use our baggage transfer service and have your equipment i.e tent, sleeping bag, additional clothing transported to the next campsite each day
Is the route sign-posted?
The Cotswold Way is a national trail (One of 16 across the UK). It is way-marked and sign posted throughout. Additionally you will pass through checkpoints and our team will be at designated places along the route. (See route and daily finish points in the Agenda section at bottom of page)
Where will I stay?
Every evening will be spent at a campsite along the route, offering warm showers, washing facilities, toilets, food, refreshments and camping pitches*(Upgrade options to shepards hut/bunk barn available
Do I have to camp?
No (Although this is part of the ultimate challenge experience) UPGRADE options Shepards huts and bell tents available
How will I be supported?
Our support team will be staffing checkpoints along the entire route, with first aid stations and drinks/snacks available at all checkpoints.
At the end of each day, a designated campsite will provide the location to rest and recover before the next days challenge
Big breakfast and energy fuelled packed lunch provided each day
Will there be checkpoints?
Every 5-7 miles (Around 10k) there will be staffed checkpoints, offering medical care, light snacks and refreshments
What will I get for completing the challenge?
All challenge participants will receive a challenge certificate

How do you want to get there?
Day 1 – Chipping Campden → Cleeve Hill (≈25 miles / 40 km)
Your journey begins in the market town of Chipping Campden, climbing straight onto the escarpment for sweeping views across the Vale of Evesham. The trail winds through Broadway Tower, Stanway, and Winchcombe, before tackling a tough climb to Cleeve Hill, the highest point on the Cotswold Way. ? Highlights: Broadway Tower, Belas Knap Long Barrow, panoramic ridgeline views.
Day 2 – Cleeve Hill → Coaley Peak (≈25 miles / 40 km)
The second day pushes through the heart of the Cotswolds, passing Leckhampton Hill, Cranham Woods, and Painswick Beacon. The terrain rolls and undulates, offering some of the trail’s finest vistas before reaching Coaley Peak, a stunning high-level campsite overlooking the Severn Valley. ? Highlights: Crickley Hill, Painswick Beacon, Nympsfield Long Barrow.
Day 3 – Coaley Peak → Hawkesbury Upton (≈24 miles / 38 km)
The route descends through Dursley, climbs again onto Stinchcombe Hill, then winds through Wotton-under-Edge and Tyndale Monument. Expect a demanding sequence of ascents and descents — a true endurance stage. Camp near Hawkesbury Upton, surrounded by quiet farmland. ?️ Highlights: Stinchcombe Hill, North Nibley Monument, Wotton-under-Edge.
