2026: Leading with Presence, Purpose and People

We are delighted to begin the 2026 Leadership Talk Series with Paul Sheerin, who will walk us through what it truly means to lead with awareness and humanity in an increasingly fast-paced and demanding world.

Paul Sheerin is the Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering, representing over 500 engineering and manufacturing companies across Scotland. An Electrical & Electronic Engineering graduate from the University of Glasgow, Paul began his career in nuclear engineering before moving into international leadership roles with Polaroid and Babcock & Wilcox.

With decades of executive experience across the UK and US, Paul is known for championing mindful, people-centred leadership. He is also a committed advocate for young people in STEM through his work with Young Enterprise Scotland and the Strathleven Foundation.
