2026 Recharge Retreat for Leaders – Navigate Change with Confidence

2026 Recharge Retreat for Leaders – Navigate Change with Confidence

By Ocelli XP

Overview

One day to step away. Get out of your resilience rut. Recharge. Return ready to lead – whatever the future holds

Are you a leader struggling with the volume, speed and complexity of change and uncertainty? You are not alone.

Join me and a small group of your peers for an intimate one-day retreat designed to help you navigate change with greater confidence and skill. And reduce the toll on your wellbeing.

This powerful experience is a purposeful break from the daily grind: a chance to reflect, reconnect and rediscover what resilience means to you – and how to build it. We will cover four enablers of resilience: emotional, cognitive, physical and (most often-overlooked) social.

Using the highly-regarded Resiient Leaders Elements™ (RLE) assessment, you will have a better understanding of your own resilience capacity as a leader – and where you need to build it. This is a self-assessment and 360 diagnostic, and the programme includes a one-to-one coaching session to debrief the insights.

What to expect

  • Gain a deep understanding of your resilient leadership strengths and development areas, in a relaxed setting with a group of peers experiencing similar challenges
  • Dive into the science and practice of social resilience and understand what the latest research tells us about leading for resilience (we will be myth busting along the way)
  • Action-planning – design resilience-enabling spaces and routines for yourself and your teams through hands-on, collaborative activities.
  • Generate real insight and unlock growth from your RLE™ assessement with an individual coaching session before or after the retreat

This full-day facilitated exploration is in the restorative calm of Wallacespace, St Pancras. As well as an enriching day of self-discovery, shared learning and action planning, you will enjoy a healthy, nutritious breakfast and lunch, with gorgeous refreshments throughout the day. Perfect for personal reflection and building new connections.

Frequency asked questions

Who is this retreat for?
This one-day retreat is designed for leaders who want to recharge, reflect and deepen their personal resilience in a supportive environment. The retreat suits a range of leaders – executive and senior leadership team members, as well as those a level or so below, particularly those with large remits in terms of responsibility for organisational strategy, change and/or managing teams.

Why do leaders sign up?
Leaders often join because they feel overwhelmed by the volume and speed of change they are navigating. Alongside overwhelm, they may experience doubt and a loss of confidence in their ability to navigate future challenges. The retreat is powerful because it gives time and space to stop, reflect and reset – something that’s hard to find in a busy working week despite best intentions. The opportunity to reflect starts the moment you sign up, with a one-to-one call to explore what you want from the day. Then comes the Resilient Leaders Elements™ (RLE) assessment, a brilliant tool that guides deep reflection on your strengths and development areas. A one-to-one coaching session is also included to debrief the assessment (either before or after the retreat, your choice).

What do you mean by retreat?
A retreat is a purposeful pause from day-to-day demands – a day designed for you to step back, reflect and reconnect with your energy, perspective and sense of purpose. Unlike a training workshop, a retreat creates space for renewal, learning and self-awareness in a calm, supportive environment. It allows you to slow down, think deeply and return to work and life with greater clarity and resilience. It is also the perfect space to build new connections with peers facing similar challenges. Resilience is socially generated, not something we achieve alone — the Resilience Recharge Retreat is all about personal reflection and human connection to recharge resilience.

What can I expect from the day?
You’ll experience a mix of facilitated reflection, guided practices, restorative time in a beautiful space and connection with like-minded leaders. The pace is intentionally balanced – energising yet spacious.

Is there an agenda?
There is a plan, but it flexes to reflect the needs of the group. We usually meet for breakfast at Wallacespace around 8:30am, with the formal start at 9:30am. The morning is spent sharing perspectives on resilience and exploring RLE™ assessments through coaching activities in pairs and as a group. After lunch, the afternoon focuses on peer coaching, action planning and exploring social enablers of resilience to empower teams. We finish at 5pm, but I stay longer for any questions or conversations.

Will I be happy coming alone?
Yes, the group experience is warm, inclusive and supportive. Participants appreciate the diversity of the group.

Do I need to have attended a resilience workshop before?
Not at all. The day is fully guided and all activities are accessible regardless of previous experience with resilience, coaching or leadership development.

What is the Resilient Leaders Elements™ assessment (RLE)?
The RLE assessment is a robust and practical online diagnostic built on 25 years of empirical research and completed by thousands of leaders. It helps leaders understand and develop their resilient leadership by assessing four key elements: Clarity of Direction, Awareness, Leadership Presence and Resilient Decision Making. The self-assessment includes reflective and behavioural frequency questions and takes about 45 minutes. Leaders then request anonymised 360 feedback from colleagues, which is aggregated into a comprehensive report. This gives powerful insights into “who they are” and “what they do”, highlighting strengths, stress triggers and practical strategies to rebound, rebalance and grow.

What support is available after the retreat?
You can choose to have your one-to-one coaching session after the retreat to explore insights and action plans. You will also continue to have access to your online RLE™ assessment and report. You can, of course, choose to work with me as a one-to-one coach.

What do you mean by resilience?
My go-to definition of resilience is from author Dr Carole Pemberton: "The capacity to remain flexible in our thoughts, feelings and behaviours when faced by a life disruption, or extended periods of pressure, so that we emerge from difficulty stronger, wiser and more able." Resilience has, I believe, become a somewhat problematic word. In many places it has been weaponised as a stick to hit people with. There are many toxic myths around resilience (which we will explore in the retreat). This definition highlights that resilience is a state – not a fixed trait we are born with, but something we can grow. It fluctuates and can be built or depleted. Resilience is enabled by cognitive, emotional and physical factors, but there is also a crucial fourth factor often ignored: social connection. We will explore how social connection can help recharge your resilience and that of your team.

How many people will there be?
There will be a small group of between four and eight people.

What is the venue?
Wallacespace St Pancras is a beautiful venue blending character, comfort and functionality in central London. Housed in a converted Victorian warehouse with an ocean liner theme, it offers bright, flexible, and cosy rooms perfect for this day. And the food… did I mention the food. The food is glorious as are the range of teas, coffees and healthy snacks throughout the day.

How do I get there?
Wallacespace St Pancras is close to St Pancras, King’s Cross and Euston stations – major London transport hubs with Eurostar trains, mainline rail, underground lines and bus routes. The location is very accessible whether arriving by train, bus or bike.

Can I stay nearby?
Yes, there are many affordable hotels nearby. Wallacespace also offers preferential rates.
