Giving Hope to the people of York for 205 years
In 1812 Manor School was born. This anniversary service at York Minster will celebrate 205 years of remarkable success.
From the Merchant Taylor’s Hall to Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton, for over two centuries, Manor has occupied six different sites, employed 18 headteachers – and educated tens of thousands of young people.
It started from the most humble of beginnings and today is one of the most respected Church of England secondary schools in York and the north of England.
In our 205th anniversary year, past pupils, current and prospective students and all those interested in our school community are invited to join with the Archbishop of York in a special commemorative service at York Minster. Come and learn about our eventful past and look ahead to an exciting future.
Entry is free - you can just turn up on the evening, but you are encouraged to book online to secure your place.
