Lunch and Learn - Supporting Patients into Volunteering

If you are a Care/Frailty Co-ordinator, PCN Health Coach, Care Co-ordinator, Social Prescriber, MacMillan or a Living Well Coach then this session is for you!

The session will cover:

·        Cumbria CVS Volunteer Brokerage Service and understanding the Volunteer Recruitment Process, e.g. interviews/informal chat, application form, references, DBS checks, training, induction, support, volunteer expenses, etc.

·        Assessing an individual’s readiness for volunteering, and individual’s support needs to enable them to volunteer

·        Informal Volunteering and Community Action

·        Formal Volunteering Opportunities

·        Training Opportunities for patients to support them in their Volunteering Role

·        FAQ in Volunteering and Opportunity for Volunteering Questions and Answers

Bring your lunch, coffee and find out more about how you can support patients into volunteering in East and West Cumbria. Please note there will be another session end of January on the above, which is likely to be face to face.
