20in20 for the MS Trust: Queenhithe, Rise and Fall of a Medieval Port

A riverside walk to include the 30 metre long Mosaic celebrating Queenhithe Dock. You will discover the history of one of the smallest of the City's Wards and the dock which was so important to Medieval London, its rise to greatness, its swift decline and eventual demise in the 1970s.
The walk will end at Billingsgate.

MissB adores the City of London, and her lively presentation style provides enjoyable and informative walks. Particular favourites are the history of early London – the Medieval and Tudor periods. There is also a preference for the modern architecture, literature and the many gardens and open spaces in the City.Also involved in the Georgian era, creating dining events, promoting walks and other historic engagement projects with the C18th.
