25 March AYURVEDA HEALING – AN INTRODUCTION
Sat 25 March 2017, 09:30 – 16:00 GMT
Ayurveda is the ancient system of healing, which originated in India more than 5,000 years ago, and is rooted in the principle that spirit, mind and body are inextricably linked. According to Ayurveda each of us has a unique psycho/physiological body type which determines our individual traits and tendencies. In this introduction to Ayurveda you will learn about the different constitutions and begin to appreciate your own in a way that will help you make best use of your innate qualities.
Dr. Aileen O'Kane practised conventional medicine from the early 70s to the mid-1990s. Through a personal illness she became very aware of the body/spirit/mind connection and subsequently studied many aspects of holistic health. For the last 15 years she has been practising Holistic Medicine - Ayurveda, Craniosacral Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique, and the Fellowship is delighted to welcome Aileen along to share her wisdom in what will be a fascinating and educational day for all!
