Travel Health Course for General Practice Nurses new to travel medicine
Tuesday 25th October 2016 09.30 - 16.30 and 29th November 2016 09.30 - 16.30
Please note that once you have applied for the first session you will automatically be included in the second session in November.
Travel Health is a complex field of practice with travellers visiting further afield and undertaking increasingly adventurous activities. The practice of travel medicine is predominantly undertaken by Practice Nurses in Primary Care settings.
Training is essential and this two-day course is designed to prepare you in the foundations of the subject. The second day is 29th November 2016 and another invite will be forwarded.
Led by Jane Chiodini, the course is designed with a gap between the two days, allowing you time to put some of the learning into practice, before returning for more teaching. This format also enables you to consolidate day one and discuss any issues that you have.
Please note: Course attendees will be provided with some personal learning tasks which are recommended to be undertaken between the two days of the course. This work comprises a minimum of four hours of learning time. Suitable for: Nurses brand new to the practice of travel medicine.
