289 Cerner EPR Training - ED Nurse & ED HCA 2019-09-25

About this Event

This course is aimed at ED Nurses who work in the main Emergency Departments (ED). The course is designed to introduce FirstNet and how it maximizes workflow efficiency of patient care for ED nurses. The training will entail: iconology and page orientations; managing patient care and completion of assessments etc. The training is based on the concept of Learn by doing. You will get hands-on opportunities to follow the instructor as they train together with a practice exercise to complete.

Learning Objectives:

After completing this course, participants will be able to perform the following tasks:

• Complete triage assessment for patient on Launchpoint

• Administer medications and collect lab specimens

• Review pertinent results for emergency department (ED) patients

• Complete the nursing documentation required to care for the patient

• Complete follow-up for patient results that return after discharge

Assessments

At the end of the course you will undergo a competency test that measures your ability to successfully complete the given task. The pass mark is 80%.
