In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to change the format this year's GWC10k and host a VIRTUAL 10k instead.

Going virtual will still allow us to raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent, who have reported to be suffering a 60% loss in funding since the COVID19 pandemic began.

Here a brief rundown of what the virtual 10k entails:

1. The virtual GWC10k will run from now until 31/12/2021 meaning once you register you can complete the run at your own pace at any time between registration date and the end of the year. You can run or walk the 10k at any location of your choosing. Be it as part of your daily exercise whilst out and about or on your treadmill. All we ask is that you submit proof from Strava, Fitbit, Garmin or other tracking apps to us by email to charity@adopstar.com once you have completed it.

2. There will also be prizes up for grabs with challenges set along the way for anyone who wishes to participate in these additional fun activities.

3. Upon evidenced completion of the 10k, all runners and walkers will receive our beautiful 2021 Medal to commemorate the Grand Western Canal Run.

For this to be the success we know it can be, we need your help in raising sponsorships now more than ever.
