Dr Simon Campbell MB Chb MRCP(UK), MD (Edin)

Dr Campbell's specialties focus on luminal gastroenterology and pharmacotherapy for IBD (including the latest biological therapy) encompassing all upper gastrointestinal complaints, coeliac disease, IBS, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease as well as diagnosis and management of colon cancer. He has a sub-interest in investigating iron deficiency anaemia and obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. In addition to this, he has advanced endoscopy training which broadens the scope of techniques that can be performed. These include complex polypectomy, colonoscopic surveillance and argon plasma coagulation therapy for angiodysplasia.

Dr Richard Jones MBChB, FRCP, PhD

Dr Jones has a wealth of experience in all aspects of gastroenterology, with particular expertise and interest in clinical nutrition, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Nutrition is an area that Dr Jones has a specialist research interest in, and he regularly publishes and presents his findings at both national and international conferences. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Jones is extensively involved in the training of medical students and junior doctors at the University Hospital of South Manchester.

Dr Harry Kaltsidis MB BS, PhD, MRCP (UK)

Dr Kaltsidis is currently a Consultant in Pancreatobiliary Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University Hospital of South Manchester and a member of the regional HPB Multidisciplinary Team as well as the HPB Pathway Board for Greater Manchester. He specialises in complex ERCP (including Spyglass cholangioscopy) as well as pancreaticobiliary EUS/FNA, while routinely teaching and training SpRs and Clinical Fellows in these procedures. He is also an experienced general endoscopist and he is a JAG accredited in upper GI endoscopy as well as colonoscopy, routinely performing large polypectomies/EMRs. His research interests include endoscopic therapy in chronic pancreatitis and EUS-delivered endotherapy for pancreatic diseases.

Dr Richard Hammonds MRCP (UK) MD

Dr Hammonds is a core member of the regional hepatobiliary team. He is an endoscopy trainer for ERCP and colonoscopy at the National Training Centre in Liverpool. Dr Hammonds is also clinical lead for governance in gastroenterology and has introduced a 'safety culture' in endoscopy.
