Chillout Yoga and Breathwork Retreat - Letting In and Letting Go

December and January are often busy months full of overindulgence and frenetic energy. When was the last time you had a chance to stop and take some time for yourself and to listen to your own inner voice?

You are invited to a Chill Out Yoga and Breathwork Retreat held at the beautiful Edenrise Centre near Totnes. We will be exploring the theme of Letting In and Letting Go - what is there in your life that no longer serves you, what do you want to leave behind, and of course, what do you wish to open up to, and what do you wish to let in?

The weekend is open to all levels of (in)flexibility and experience - whether you are completely new to yoga and breathwork or you are an advanced practitioner able to levitate, there will be something for you. The yoga you will be practicing is Hatha based, but heavily influenced by Yin and Restorative styles. All sessions will be led by qualified, experienced (and insured!) instructors.It is slow and gentle with a focus of being kind with yourself. However, it can be made as intense as you wish.

As part of the retreat, you will also take part in a Breathwork Journey which is profound and transformational. We will also hike to the magical heart of Dartmoor, and if you are brave enough, take a plunge into the icy pool at its center.

Afterwards, there will be a wood fired aromatherapy sauna to warm the cockles and later in the evening an ecstatic dance and fire ceremony. The food will be high vibe vegan with gluten-free options.

Accommodation: shared twin rooms , in twin 'pods' in the stable style dormitory or in the 4 person dormitory. If you have a preference please ask at time of booking.

Cost: The price of this retreat is £300 with an early bird price of £270 (before December 1st). This can be paid on Eventbrite or direct to avoid fees (please contact for details). It is possible to just pay a deposit now with the rest payable 2 weeks before the retreat. Discounts can also be given for group bookings.

It is our highest intention that cost is not a barrier to coming on a weekend, so we offer a number of karma places for those who may be on low incomes. Please get in touch for more details.

Benedict Beaumont

After many years practising Ashtanga yoga and Tibetan Buddhist meditation, Benedict discovered the slower, gentler forms of yoga and the insane power of breathwork. He founded Breathing Space in September 2017 with his wife Jennifer as a way to share his love of these practices.

When not breathing or doing yoga, Benedict is often a secondary school teacher, sometimes a chef, occasionally a writer and always an adventurer!

Lizzie Wilcocks

Lizzie originally trained as a Midwife,  but the course of her life was changed when, following a serious back injury, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This has led Lizzie down a path of healing and self discovery that has fuelled her passion for holistic care, breathwork, yoga, cold water therapy and talking openly around our mental health. She's obsessed with wild swimming and the benefits of being out in nature. Lizzie loves hiking, reading, being in or near any kind of water, vegan cooking and melancholy music sang by old men with deep voices.

Hannah Roulston-Eldridge

After years of juggling support work with drama therapy and evenings spent on the stage Hannah is now a mother and home educator to three children. Having witnessed the power of breathwork with her children’s different births, Hannah first discovered Alchemy of Breath during a yoga retreat and has since immersed herself in this culture. Now training to be a fully qualified breathwork instructor, Hannah wants to inspire the world to dance, connecting the body with the heart and to breathe consciously, bringing harmony and a sense of deep belonging. When she’s not breathing, dancing or practising yoga Hannah is holding space for her family and rescuing small birds. You can also find her cooking, writing, reading and walking in nature.

Megan Curtis

Having trained originally as a Mental Health Nurse and then as a Hatha Yoga Teacher, Megan developed an increasing desire to learn more about the therapeutic aspects of Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama. She went on to complete a Yoga Therapy Diploma, with a particular interest in studying the benefits of yoga for those living with conditions such as Stress, Burnout, Chronic Fatigue, Anxiety and Depression, as well as many other short and long term health conditions. She incorporates her variety of skills and experience to create yoga classes designed to honour the importance of nurturing, nourishing and supporting, as well as building and instilling inner courage and self worth. This summer saw Megan uproot from her UK hometown to France, fall in love with the powerful practice of Breathwork and complete further studies in Thai Massage Therapy. She is a great believer in embracing nature, music, dance and nourishing food, and in cultivating the space for joy, peace, self care and healing.

Food: is vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options.
