Your Tutor - Atul Vohora
Born in East Africa, Atul Vohora currently lives and works in London. His paintings are layered, braiding together strands of memory, culture and lived experience into a body of work that has a powerful immediacy. Using a rich language of pattern, imagery and iconography, the paintings make visible a strikingly imaginative and deeply felt and immersive world.
Drawing in its most direct form, continues to be central to his practice. The work is charged with a sense of discovery and wonder, a luminous clarity that is powerfully rooted in the act of looking.
