Learn how to professionally install stunning resin floors and worktops in this comprehensive 3-day DIY course in South East London.
The course will run over 3 consecutive days.
This hands-on workshop is designed for everyone from complete beginners to experienced tradespeople who want to start a business or add this highly sought-after skill to their professional services.This is a truly practical activity where you will gain the technical know-how and confidence to manage real-world flooring projects with style and precision.
Over three immersive days, our experienced trainers will share insider tips and proven techniques that go far beyond online tutorials.
You will learn every stage of the process, including:
- Surface preparation – Master how to correctly grind, clean, and prime surfaces to ensure a perfect, long-lasting bond.
- Material knowledge – Get familiar with different types of resin like epoxy and polyurethane, as well as various additives, pigments, and sealers.
- Mixing and application – Learn the correct ratios and application methods for different finishes, from self-levelling bases to metallic swirls and anti-slip coatings.
- Layering techniques – Explore how to build up layers for visual depth, unique effects, and outstanding durability.
- Finishing and aftercare – Understand how to troubleshoot common issues and advise on post-installation care.
In addition to flooring, this course includes a special introductory module on creating resin worktops. You will learn the fundamentals of crafting high-quality, seamless surfaces for kitchens, bathrooms, and bespoke furniture, covering mould preparation, pigment blending, and finishing techniques.
This workshop is designed to transform your skills, giving you the technical knowledge and hands-on confidence to price, prepare, and pour resin projects for clients. You will leave with a certificate of completion and a portfolio of practice boards you’ve created, which are available to take home for an additional £50 to showcase your new abilities.
Notes:
Materials and tools will be provided for you on the course but we suggest wearing old clothes as it can get messy.
For safety reasons, open-toed shoes (including sandals, flip-flops, and similar styles) are not permitted in our workshop. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes to take part in the class.
Please note: Entry will be refused to anyone not wearing appropriate footwear, and no refund will be provided in these cases.
Additionally, feel free to bring a water bottle or any refreshments you prefer.
Timeliness: Entry to classes is not permitted 15 minutes after the listed start time. This policy ensures an uninterrupted lesson for all participants.
Class Duration: Classes may exceed the stated time. Please allocate additional time after the class, as we prioritize a comprehensive learning experience and avoid rushing students.
Parking: Free onsite parking is available. Drive up to the gates, and the security attendant will assist your entry.
Public Transport: If using public transportation, the nearest train stations are Woolwich Dockyard (10 min walk), Woolwich Arsenal (bus: 5 mins - 161, 177, 180, 472 to Warspite Road), and North Greenwich (bus: 15 mins - 472 or 161 to Yateley Street).
