Join us for another Saturday Salsa Workshop after our short summer break!
In this 3 hour salsa workshop we will once again be exploring the more creative elements of Salsa like body movement and marking different rhythms in the music with more crazy footwork combinations!
This time we’ll be looking at the Cowbell. Picking out this rhythm in the music and using it to emphasise the down-beats. This will help us think about different timings of Salsa.
We will be using different footwork patterns and body movements to help develop our musicality and mark this timing pattern.
We will also spend time perfecting our basic fundamentals e.g. posture, weight transfer, basic step and timing AND throw in a crazy shine picking up on all we have explored.
This workshop will not be suitable for complete beginners. We recommend that you have danced Salsa for at least a couple of months and are confident with the basics before attending this workshop. So, if you are a complete beginner, come along to a few Thursday nights at Salsa Bangor before you try our workshops.
This workshop will allow you to develop your existing skills. Our aims are to explore movement, to have fun and enhance our dancing through practice!
The workshop will be held in studio 1 at Canolfan Brailsford, Bangor LL57 2EH
