#3 Ruth Claxton (Eastside Projects) on Building an Artist Friendly City
Ruth Claxton is an artist based in Birmingham. For almost twenty years, she’s been working with others to make projects, organisations and infrastructure to support artists in the city, including as a founding director of Eastside Projects and co-producer of the Birmingham Art Map. In 2014 she co-wrote the Birmingham Production Space proposal, which led to the development of a substantial new makerspace as part of STEAMhouse, a new centre for creative innovation which opened in the city centre in April 2018.
4 Talks on Production are kindly supported by Maker Assembly and the Comino Foundation. Maker Assembly supports communities of making through events, networks and critical discussion.
