● About the Tour
This is an exciting journey to enjoy visiting 3 romantic and impressive Scottish castles filmed in Outlander and many movies and TV Series - An incredible experience for everyone (including those who may not be Outlander) to time travel back to the 18th Century by walking through majestic and historic places where Jaime and Claire entwined.
The Outlander Tour includes: 1) visiting the impressive 15th century Blackness Castle, known as a ship that never sailed due to its shape and its stunning location. Blackness Castle stands as fictional Fort William headquarters of Black Jack Randall as well as featuring in the heart-wrenching scene of Jamie's incarceration in Outlander. 2) stepping into the 14th century Linlithgow Palace, knows as a opals with over 700 windows and certainly stunning views though its windows overlooking the beautiful Linlithgow Loch. As the highlight of our Outlander Tour, the majestic ruins of Linlithgow Palace stands in for the prison entrance and corridors in the scene where Jamie is imprisoned. You will be impressed and amazed by the views overlooking the tranquil beauty of the Linlithgow Loch and the town. 3) and last but not least is visiting Calendar House, dating back to the 14th Century, an outstanding and gorgeous mansion set within the grounds of Callendar Park in Falkirk. It played host to many prominent historical figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots, Oliver Cromwell, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Queen Victoria. The historic Calendar House's Georgian kitchen offers the opportunity to step back into a world that has now gone and it was used as the kitchen at the Duke of Sandringham’s home, as one of the most memorable Outlander scenes to date, in episode 2.11 “Vengeance is Mine”. You can even follow in Jamie and Claire’s footsteps for yourself with a fantastic Outlander audio guide! This tour also includes visiting the beautiful and impressive Kelpies in Falkirk.
