30 years of cardiac surgery @ NUH - family fun day

Come celebrate 30 years of cardiac surgery at NUH with a day filled with food, music and fun activities for the whole family! Join us at Basford Mill Cricket Club to commemorate this milestone together with a day filled with laughter and joy!

Please bring picnic blankets if you have them as there is very limited seating.

Food and drink:

Please bring a family-sized dish and something to drink to contribute to our fuddle. Whether it's a homemade favourite or a shop-bought treat, all contributions are welcome!

Alcohol is permitted but can ony be consumed by over 18's.

Baking competition:

We’ll be hosting a baking competition on the day with three delicious categories:🍰 Cakes🍪 Cookies🍮 Desserts

There will be separate competitions for adults and children, so everyone can get involved and show off their baking skills. Medals will be awarded for the top entries in each category so bring your best bake and wow the judges!

POOCHES therapy dogs:

Need a moment to unwind and de-stress? Come meet our friendly therapy dogs! 🐶 These calm, cuddly canines are here to offer comfort, boost your mood, and bring a smile to your day. Whether you’re a dog lover or just need a little emotional lift, drop by for some tail-wagging therapy and furry hugs.

Henna:

Some of our talented nurses will be offering beautiful henna designs during the celebration. Whether you’re trying it for the first time or you’re a regular fan, come along and enjoy this lovely form of body art.

Face paint:

Let the kids’ imaginations run wild with our face painting station. From butterflies to superheroes, there’ll be plenty of colourful designs to choose from, perfect for adding a bit of extra magic to the day!

Games & activities:

Get ready for some friendly competition and plenty of laughs with a variety of classic games and activities for all ages including:

Take home a keepsake or leave your mark on our community mural, a beautiful way to celebrate three decades of cardiac surgery!
