Date and time
Location
The Great Room, RSA
8 John Adam Street London WC2N 6EZ United KingdomDescription
Join us for an exciting evening of lightning talks about initiatives that apply design to create a positive social, economic, or environmental impact.
As well as the chance to meet other Fellows, we will hear from members of the RSA’s Royal Designers for Industry and winners and collaborators of the RSA Student Design Awards.
If you would value support from the Fellowship community for a project which uses design to create social impact, apply to give a three-minute pitch before 10am, Monday 2 October. The event will be an opportunity to learn more about:
- The RSA’s main area of work
- Projects and ventures that are using design-thinking and skills to solve contemporary challenges
- How you can engage with the RSA, our work, and our network of 28,000 Fellows both in your local area and beyond

Please note that this is a dynamic event structure and some parts are standing networking.

What is RSA Engage?
RSA Engage is a series of 20 events hosted around the UK which provide a space for Fellows to make new connections in their area and enables us to showcase some of the most innovative Fellows-led projects that are having a positive impact. Whether you’re looking to find out more about the RSA, get involved with an exciting project, or to network with like-minded people, RSA Engage offers something for everyone.
What’s the format?
RSA Engage is a mix of three-minute project pitches and facilitated networking. Each pitch will finish with a call to action, asking the audience to share their skills and experience to help further their project. In between project pitches, there are short bursts of networking where you’ll be able to spark new connections and talk to the project pitchers about how you can support their work. RSA Engage is an interactive, standing event, though limited seating may be available.
Who can attend?
Our Fellowship events are free to attend, but due to their popularity we ask that you please register in advance by following the ‘Register’ link at the top of this page. We welcome non-Fellows who support the work of the RSA and those who are interested in finding out more about Fellowship. You can only book one ticket at a time so if you would like to invite a guest, please send them this link and ask them to sign up.
By registering for this event you agree to the sharing of your name, organisation & title and email address with the Fellow(s) and/or partner organisation(s) hosting this event. Attendees also agree to the sharing of your name, organisation, and email address with other delegates at the event so that they might contact you through MyRSA. If you do not wish this information to be shared, please let us know by emailing: networks@rsa.org.uk.
