Shared Decision Making & the i- THRIVE Grids

Shared Decision Making & the i-THRIVE grids have been designed to facilitate shared decision-making conversations between professionals, children, young people and their parents/carers in relation to specific difficulties. The available grids are for: anxiety, low mood, ADHD and self-harm. More information can be found on the i-THRIVE website.

Upon completing this training module, attendees will be able to:

• Understand the research behind shared decision making and why it is important in the context of child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing;

• Identify how shared decision making is used within the THRIVE Framework for system change to benefit all stakeholders;

• Understand and explain the benefits of using i-THRIVE Grids as a tool to support shared decision making in relation to specific difficulties children and young people present with;

• Identify where and when you will start to use the i-THRIVE Grids in your work with young people and their families, and;

• Be accredited to use the i-THRIVE Grids in their practice.

• Consider what new and Surrey specific i-THRIVE grids could be developed

Who is best to attend?

Specialist and community CAMHS clinicians, community and voluntary sector practitioners across all Mindworks Surrey workstreams. Examples include but are not exclusive to: Community Wellbeing Practitioners, Primary Mental Health Workers, ND service practitioners
