Location
Trinity Children & Family Centre
Aberfan CF48 4NT United KingdomDescription
Based in Aberfan, Trinity Child and Family Centre provide a range of services to children, families and the wider community.
They deliver services from a purpose built nursery school which is leased from the Local Authority. The building and grounds are a fantastic resource not just to the children but the community.
Trinity would like employee volunteer help to develop their outside area which they have divided into three areas -
• Free play / imaginative
• Planting / exploring / sensory
• Circle area
The centre is conscious that this is the first area which visitors see
All areas require a great deal of weeding and tidying up something which the centre tell us they are struggling with at the moment The centre would like their sensory area improved, volunteers could discuss their ideas with the centre. The centre would particularly like a musical area created with wind chimes. The area would benefit from having some colourful plants, topping up the chippings/gravel which are spread very thin. Trinity would also like a bug hotel created out of wooden pallets.
Volunteers with the skills to create garden furniture and planters from old pallets would be welcome to get creative.
The centre has had some garden ornaments donated which volunteers could help install and even create some planters from used tyres.
The centre has NO budget for materials
