Find out about the shops, owners and businesses from 1907 onwards. Hear snippets of history and stories all along the route…

Enjoy this walk with one of our most animated heritage Guides, Ann Sandall, who tends to dress for every occasion!

Explore the different Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco architectural styles and see what you can learn from brickwork, evidence of facades and original Georgian shop doorways.

With the help of maps and photographs from days gone by, you’ll learn about the people and businesses who frequented the area in the 1900s. Who were the owners, and who shopped here? What did they buy? And, which side of Stoke Road was the wealthier?
