About this event

If you are an organisation or group that is a Disability Led organisation within the voluntary and community sector in Stockport, we would like to invite you to a conversation and meeting to share thoughts about forming a ‘Collective Network’.

As a sector, delivering key and essential services and support to people with a disability, their families and carers happens across Stockport every day and is valued by many.

With changing and evolving systems, policies, funding and strategies, as a collective network, how could we share learning, insight and positively impact on our communities considering our own capacity, levels of engagement and specialisms?

How as a sector can we build on the various disability forums in Stockport, learn from one another and work with one another to secure the best outcomes for people with a disability or additional need in communities?

By bringing people together for this conversation, we would like to explore with you ways in which a collective network could be of benefit in:

· Being a collective voice and influence in the delivery of key and essential services to communities

· Sharing of resources, knowledge and specialisms to support the network

· Addressing inequalities in the Borough

· Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of people with a disability in the Borough

We very much look to seeing you there and hearing your thoughts.

PLEASE NOTE: This meeting will take place in the first floor meeting room at Walthew House. Lift access is available. Directions to the venue can be found here.
