The Managing suicidal conversations training is delivered by Samaritans, funded by Camden and Islington Councils and is for anyone who lives, works, studies or volunteers in the two boroughs in conjunction with Rethink Mental Illness.
This course is aimed at delegates whose job/volunteer role could bring them into contact with a suicidal person, providing them with the knowledge and skills to provide support to an individual.
This is a one-day course, you need to attend the full day to receive a certificate.

At the end of this course attendees will be able to:
- Show that you have listened, heard and understood.
- Understand and acknowledge suicidal thoughts and feelings.
- Understand how talking about suicidal thoughts and feelings can be beneficial.
- Recognise signs of distress and suicidal thoughts.
- Approach someone who is feeling suicidal.
- Support or refer someone who is feeling suicidal.
