Journeying from North Africa and the Med, to northern Europe and the Far East…
Get engrossed in an informative display of photos and material relating to the activities of 200 or so elite commandos based at Hayling Island Sailing Club, and discover the links to Gosport.
Brigadier Robbie Scott-Bowden will then give an engrossing talk exploring the history of Combined Operations Pilotage Parties – who trained in Gosport and Hayling Island during WWII – featuring his father, Major General Logan Scott-Bowden, who led two crucial reconnaissance missions to Normandy six months before D-Day.
Last year, when the display and talks were held (at a different venue), it received massive positive feedback, including “This is the best event I’ve experienced in many years of visiting HODs.”
This display and talk is brought to you by Hayling COPP Heroes Memorial & COPP Survey.
