Event description

Description

38 Degrees Live brings people together for a fun evening exploring the stories of local heroes and enjoying the work of authors, artists and innovators.

The evening will start with a talk by Peter Macfadyen, author of Flatpack Democracy: he’ll tell the amazing story of how a small group of people in Frome, Somerset transformed their council into being entirely independently led. In groups we’ll then chat about how Peter’s lessons could work here in Brighton.

Then we'll move on to the 'Lightning Local Stories' round, where people from the community will share their tales and describe how they're making the world a better place at a local level.

The evening will finish with a performance by Bridgette Amofah, an incredible singer and part of the superstar group Rudimental, performing songs from her forthcoming debut EP.

Your ticket buys you entry and a complimentary wine, beer or soft drink.

Please join us after the event too as we'll stick around for drinks and chats with the speakers at the bar on site.
