The WMCA is hosting four face to face half day events across the region to explore the opportunities to improve health and reduce health inequalities through wider economic and social value work. These workshops will be led and facilitated by The Kings Fund with local, regional and national experts getting together to discuss best practice, shared challenges and collaborate on regional opportunities.
The 4 half-day workshops focus on key topic areas relevant to West Midlands health and care system and will be hosted in person across the WMCA region:
• 10 October 2022 – Inclusive Growth and Health – Friargate, Coventry
• 16 November 2022 – Homelessness and Health – The Exchange Birmingham
• 14 December 2022 – Disability and Health – Solihull College
• 19 January 2023 – Health Duty to Improve Health – Portway Lifestyle Centre, Oldbury
Details on specific workshops are included on the register for specific events. With refreshments from 0930 for a 1000-1300 Workshop, the workshops aim to bring senior leaders from commerce, health and care from the public sector as well as private and charitable/voluntary organisations. Although tailored for each workshop, the workshop will combine:
• Expert inputs
• Contribution from key actors in the region showing practice and learning
• Facilitated discussions on implications and action.
