The day will introduce you to "active palpation" and assessment in motion. You will explore the functional assessment of dancers and athletes at all levels and learn about active standing examination. This will lead onto evaluating 3D, including stability, strength, symmetry and fatigue using the 3D-Squat. The course will provide you with the skills to map the engagement and recruitment of muscle groups and allow you to assess "core strength" and its global influences.

• Foot posture and leg length discrepancy
Which other courses might be relevant to me?
This course is part of a two one-day workshops over the weekend. It is not necessary for you to attend both days but many delegates choose to do this. The other course is Functional Active Release (FAR). Robin Lansman also runs Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Shoulder Dysfunction Workshop, a refresher course designed for those who want to brush up on their skills in this area.
Who is running the course?
Robin Lansman teaches students about his approach to Osteopathic Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Management at the British School of Osteopathy and across Europe. He has also been on-hand at many London Marathons to help runners of Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) & Alzheimer's Charities and is a qualified osteopath. Robin Lansman is also President of the Institute of Osteopathy.
