3D Scanning Workshop - Fab Lab London
Tue 1 March 2016, 17:30 – 20:00 GMT
Fundamentals of 3D Scanning
In this session you will learn the fundamentals of 3d Scanning with a view to converting your models and supplied objects into 3d digital files. The differenced between 2D and 3D scanning will be investigated with the addition of a third dimension to flat 2d documents .
You do not need a degree in Graphic or 3d Design to attend the workshop , all you need is a basic understanding of how things are made. 3D scanning is a very much restricted by what you want to do with outcome once you have completed the scanning process using either our Atlas 3d laser scanners or Fuel 3d Scanify photographic camera and software. Scanning in 3d is an incredibly useful skill and opens up a world of possibilities in digital processing and manufacture.
We'll be using the Fuel 3D handheld scanner, an X Box Kinect and a Raspberry Pi laser scanner.
If you are a maker or a designer or tech start up, and looking to start computer modelling and 3d design then this workshop is for you.
