Event description

Description

Are you interested in learning how 3D technologies can help increase productivity, cut costs and raise quality standards within your organisation?

OR3D is opening its doors to show how its clients from Aerospace, Engineering, Medical and Manufacturing sectors have embraced a range 3D scanning technologies from laser to X-ray systems, to work faster, more accurately and lower project and patient risks.

Engaging User Case Studies

  • EasyJet's Engineering Team will talk about how aircraft damage and analysis have been transformed with handheld 3D scanners and bespoke inspection software processes.

  • Cardiff’s University Dental Hospital will talk about are using medical CT data and haptic controlled design software to help design patient specific implants.

  • Understand how UK’s Leading Industrial Ergonomist - John Lovegrove from Canary Design has used 3D large volume scan data to help improve the safety and working conditions of emergency crews.

  • Impossible Creation's, rapid prototyping and 3D specialists, who brought the historical Royal car back into the 21st century, using 3D scanning and organic design technologies.

Practical Workshops

OR3D in partnership with 3D Systems Geomagic, Volume Graphics and RX Solutions will demonstrate the best in class of laser, X-ray and reverse engineering and inspection software. Providing live demonstrations, you will have an opportunity to discuss your measurement and design challenges.

Put us to the test

OR3D is offering an opportunity to delegates, to bring a small part,no greater than 200mm x 200mm to be X-rayed using our in-house industrial CT scanner. (Please note material types and thicknesses will apply to the suitability for X-ray scanning. Please contact us on info@or3d.co.uk if unsure of suitability).

Laser scanning parts will also be available for demonstration purposes.
