With the busyness of modern life, there is an increasing need of methods to find inner peace and still the turbulence of negative conceptions. Enter: mindfulness and meditation!

This practical, mindfulness-based course will explore simple, but powerful meditative practices, derived from the ancient Mahamudra tradition and reveal practical tools to help us overcome distractions and cultivate pure peace & concentration. Through training in these meditations, we can experience progressively more peaceful states of mind and eventually accomplish our full potential for peace.

4th July – Introduction to the nature of the mind

Buddha taught ‘if you realize your own mind you will become a Buddha, you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere’. Discover a meditation that will unlock this extraordinary potential within us.

11th July – Becoming a skilful Meditator

This class will explore advice from the ancient Mahamudra yogis of the past to make our meditation easier and more effective.

18th July – Settling the mind

Learn how to overcome distractions effectively through applying skilful techniques and calm the storm of conflicting emotions.

25th July – Making Progress

In this class we will look at how we can move forward in our meditation beyond the course and track our progress in developing mindfulness.
