44 - Seating for students - Mountain Ash - 20 Volunteers
Fri 12 May 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 BST
This secondary school located in Mountain Ash benefits from great outside space for students.
The school is looking to improve seating around the school, at present there is very little seating in some areas and none at all in others. The school grounds are large and students have many different outdoor areas they can use but all areas lack seating.
Long term the school is looking to install shelters in all yards, seating and outdoor basketball hoops and possibly outdoor table tennis tables. The school has received quotes of £3,000 for shelters which puts them out of reach with current budget constraints.
Employee volunteers with some carpentry skills would be welcomed to the school to help create seating areas and fabricate or assemble picnic benches. The school tells us the seating can be in any form i.e. Picnic benches, basic wooden benches or creative seating.
If the business has a budget the school would also like to purchase and install basketball hoops or any other games for the pupils to use during break times.
The school has a budget of £400 for materials
Volunteers would need to supply their own tools
