Health, Performance and Wellbeing is one of three main research themes at ARU and this event symbolises how our reputation as an institution for outstanding research continues to grow.

Making sure that we communicate and share our research is an essential part of our University mission and we are delighted to invite you to the Health, Performance and Wellbeing conference on the 28 November at the Hilton, Cambridge.

This event will showcase the excellent work undertaken by ARU colleagues and collaborators and how this is impacting the grand challenges faced by local and global communities.

You will hear from a range of international speakers and ARU academics sharing their insight in relation to the importance of community, digital technology and creative practice.

Speakers include:

Professor Felicity Baker

Professor Felicity Baker is Associate Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, and Director, International Research Partnerships for the Creative Arts and Music Therapy Research Unit. She is a former Australia Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow (2011-2015) and has attracted more than $15.5 million in competitive research funding including principal investigator on 3 National Health and Medical Research Council grants, an Australia Research Council Future Fellowship, and ARC Discovery Grant.

Professor Carol Brayne CBE

Carol Brayne CBE is a Professor of Public Health Medicine and Co-Director of Cambridge Public Health Interdisciplinary Centre at the University of Cambridge. She is a medically qualified epidemiologist and public health academic. Her main research has been longitudinal studies of older people following changes over time with a public health perspective and focus on the brain.

Ab Rogers and Ash Ranpura

Ab will be presenting together with Ash Ranpura, a Yale Neuroscientist, also known for co-authoring “How to be Human” with Ruby Wax. They will present the “Third Carer: Living Systems Hospital of the Future", which won the 2021 Wolfson Prize for Economics.
