Welcome to the 4482[SASAPARI] Art Talk series! This year’s theme for 'K-Art Now' is Performance Art & Installation Art.
Join us for an artist talk with Dohyun Baek, a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose installation-based practice delves into the complexities of human vulnerability, identity, and the surreal absurdities of modern life.
Baek constructs psychologically charged environments that often blur the line between humour and unease. His installations incorporate symbolic objects, fragmented imagery, and spatial tension to explore emotional fragility and the quiet dissonance beneath contemporary routines. Often drawing from his Korean heritage, Baek’s work investigates cultural displacement and existential anxiety through immersive, metaphor-rich spaces.
Through this talk, Baek will share insights into his process of constructing narrative-driven installations that invite viewers to question the boundaries between the familiar and the uncanny. From subtle gestures to theatrical tableaux, his works evoke a space where vulnerability becomes tangible, and absurdity reveals hidden truths.
Please kindly RSVP by 29 September 2025 to secure your place for this artist talk. Space is limited - don’t miss this rare opportunity to encounter Lee’s thought-provoking sonic world.
