48 Hours on Teesside: With a phone and an appetite to explore
Date and time
Description
Come and explore the Teesside region and help uncover the stories around its people, art, culture and place. This event will pick up the conversations started at the Talk About Local unconference held at Mima earlier this month with a full recap for anyone who was unable to attend that. This series of events is for artists, culture lovers and people who enjoy their local area and want to let other people know about the vibrant activities across the Tees Valley area.
The workshops are designed to help attendees use simple digital tools to find a voice online and connect with others across the region. Although you are welcome just at attend one, or more, of the events, we’d love it if you were able to come along with us on the whole journey and forge relationships and connections which will continue long after this programme. During the series we’ll look at all aspects of cultural storytelling and place-based blogging and there’s no previous experience or specialist equipment necessary - that appetite to explore is the only true piece of kit required!
This second event in the series will centre on finding the best free publishing tools or platforms (spaces such as Twitter, Instagram and WordPress for example) to use for your local digital activity and draw upon some of the best practice locally and from around the country.
Please do bring along some food for a picnic together at lunchtime and we look forward to hearing from you.
