Monday the 4th and Tuesday 5th December Music Industry, Mentoring and Performance

Mentors: Emily Phillips & Crispin Hunt

meet, discuss the day’s program and create groups to work with tutors

EMILY PHILLIPS

Emily co-wrote 10 tracks on Rizzlekicks’ second album 'Roaring 20’s' (UK No. 3) including their 2 top 10 hits 'Lost Generation' and 'Skip to the Good bit'.Emily also co-wrote John Newmans’ second single 'Cheating'. Other cuts include Big Time Rush 'Worldwide' on their debut album 'Enemies' on Becky Hill’s forthcoming debut album. Also, for Swiss 'The Voice' winner Nicole Bernegger's debut single 'Danger' (Island) and Jasmine Thompson’s (Atlantic US) first and second singles, 'Run' and 'Drop Your Guard'.

Emily has twice penned songs that have been aired by Zane Lowe as 'Hottest Record In The World', 'Right Beside you', Jakwob, and 'Cheating' John Newman.

She is currently writing with Dan Owen (Atlantic), Jasmine Thompson (Atlantic US), and Rhys Lewis (Decca).

CRISPIN HUNT

Crispin Hunt is a multi-platinum selling songwriter, record producer and music consultant.
He has written, worked with various artists including Jake Bugg, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Ray, Ellie Goulding, Maverick Sabre, Newton Faulkner, Natalie Imbruglia, Bat for Lashes, Rod Stewart, You Me at Six, Tom Grennan and Luke Sital Singh.
As Chair of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) he campaigns internationally advocating for music creators’ rights, and is an elected Director of the PRS for Music and PPL.
